IN MEMORIAM

Ray Mouland
7th August 1948 - 1st May 2017

Adored and cherished

My Dad, Ray, was a real life action man. Since his early childhood, Dad lived every day to its absolute fullest; he worked hard, establishing his own business Castle Heating in 1975, and played even harder! From wrestling to rock bands, from dancing and swimming to motorbikes and car racing, from snooker and golf to skiing and sailing and most things in between, there wasn’t much he hadn’t tried and enjoyed! And throughout all of that very busy lifestyle, he was the most selfless, humble, generous, funny, loving, caring man of integrity and would do anything for anyone without ever expecting anything in return.

Dad was also the epitome of a strong and healthy man, so it came as a complete and utter shock to us all when kidney cancer was diagnosed just over two years ago. Throughout all his treatment Dad’s grace, bravery, positivity and stoicism never, ever faltered, and our pride and love of him could not be greater.

Devastatingly, the end of Dad’s life arrived suddenly and unexpectedly, leaving us all bewildered and heartbroken.

We miss him beyond words. Life will never be the same without him. xxxx

I wish I could be there! I’m so grateful that I was there for the last couple of days of his life though. We shared a couple of good laughs over some old stories. I will always miss him, and will think of him often. He was a great man and I will carry on, in my memories, knowledge of his humble and fun-loving nature, and will try to recreate that in my own life as much as I can. I love you Uncle Ray.
